Why brands sales data is important to big manufacturers?

Manufacturers need reliable and accurate data about their products. How much of their brands sold and where it was sold is important information to manufacturers' marketing management.

Measuring and analyzing consumer demand is framework of marketing decision making. Manufacturers needs sales data as soon as possible so they can react to demand analysis results by adjusting manufacturing assembly lines, adjust prices, or start or stop brand discount promotions.

Data reported to MSA is used by manufacturers and government jurisdictions. State Department of Revenue can obtain access to this data to compare to their filed tax returns data. So, reporting accurate and consistent data to both MSA and government is essential to avoid tax audits.
